The website for National Forests in North Carolina recently published its online 2011 Recreation Guide. The 9 page PDF file provides a nice overview of the hiking, camping, mountain biking, boating and horseback opportunities that abound within the four national forests of North Carolina (Nantahala, Pisgah, Croatan and Uwharrie).
The guide also provides a few news items concerning projects and other things going on within the system.
